Educational Qualification: The candidate must need to be class 10th passed from a recognized Board/Council of Government of Assam along-with a valid professional Driving Licence preferably LMV category.
Pay Scale: Rs.14,000 – Rs.60,500/- plus Grade Pay of Rs.5,200 and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Age Limit: Candidates age must need to be between 18 years to 40 years as on 1 January of 2021.
Age Relaxation: Category wise age relaxation will be as below followed.
- 5 years in respect of candidates belonging to SC, ST(P) and ST(H).
- 3 years in respect of candidates belonging to OBC/ MOBC.
Note: For the purpose of determining the age limit, the PNRD will accept only the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent examination certificate issued by a recognized education Board. No other documents relating to age such as horoscopes, affidavits, birth extracts from Municipal Corporations, service records and the like will be accepted.
Employment Exchange Registration: The candidate has to submit a valid registration certificate from any one of the Employment Exchanges of Assam along with the application form.
Nationality: Candidates must be an Indian citizens and ordinarily resident of Assam.

Selection Process of PNRD Recruitment
Phase 1: Candidates whose applications are accepted will have to appear in the written test on traffic rules and traffic signs to be held at the district headquarters of Biswanath, Charaideo, Hojai, Majuli and South Salmara districts. This exam will be of 100 marks. Phase 1 exam date will be notified later through the official website.
Phase 2: Four candidates against each vacancy will be shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in the written test on driving knowledge on traffic rules and traffic rules. All the shortlisted candidates will have to appear along with all original testimonials in the driving skill test to be held at the district headquarters of Biswanath, Charaideo, Hojai, Majuli and South Salmara districts. This exam will be of 100 marks. Phase 2 exam date will be notified later through the official website.
