IBPS SO Admit Card 2026
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) issued the IBPS SO Admit Card 2026 on 20 August 2026. The call letter has been issued for the Specialist Officer Preliminary Examination under CRP SPL-XVI, which is scheduled for 29 August 2026.

The examination centre, date and shift allotted to a candidate are printed on the call letter. IBPS does not ordinarily accept requests for a change of centre, date or shift, so candidates should make their travel arrangements after checking the allotted venue.
IBPS SO Prelims Exam Pattern 2026
The Preliminary Examination under CRP SPL-XVI consists of 100 objective questions carrying 125 marks. Candidates receive 80 minutes in total, with a separate limit of 20 minutes for each section.

Third Section: Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari candidates answer General Awareness with special reference to the banking industry. Candidates for the other Specialist Officer posts answer Quantitative Aptitude.
Medium: The English Language test is available only in English. The remaining sections are available in English and Hindi.
Note: A penalty of 0.25 marks applies to every incorrect answer. An unanswered question carries no penalty. The Preliminary Examination is qualifying in nature, and its marks are not counted in the final merit list.
Documents Required at the Examination Centre
Candidates must carry the required documents in the prescribed form. Entry may be refused if the call letter or an acceptable original photo identity proof is not produced.

Accepted Photo Identity Proof: PAN Card, Passport, Permanent Driving Licence, Voter’s Card with photograph, Aadhaar Card, Bank Passbook with photograph, Employee ID, Bar Council Identity Card, or a valid identity card issued by a recognised college or university. A Ration Card or Learner’s Driving Licence is not accepted.
Note: The name on the identity proof must match the name on the call letter. A candidate whose name has changed should carry the relevant original gazette notification, marriage certificate or affidavit.
Examination Centre Instructions
Reporting Time: Candidates must report at the time printed on their call letters. Entry is not allowed after the gate-closing time specified by IBPS.
Time at the Venue: The online test lasts 80 minutes, but candidates may have to remain at the venue for about three hours or more. Document verification, biometric capture, login and the reading of instructions take place before the test starts.
Biometric Verification: Thumb impressions and photographs may be captured at the centre. Candidates should keep their fingers clean and avoid applying mehendi, ink or any coating that may interfere with biometric verification.
Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, smart watches, digital watches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, earphones, cameras, storage devices, books, notes and loose sheets are not permitted inside the examination hall.
Preserve the Call Letter: Candidates should retain the Preliminary Examination call letter after the test. Those shortlisted for the Main Examination may be required to produce the authenticated call letter and identity-proof photocopy at the next stage.
