The Directorate of Sericulture, Assam has released an official recruitment notification for the recruitment of 180 posts of Grade-IV under the Directorate of Sericulture, Assam. Educational Qualification: A candidate should be VIII (8th) passed from any recognized Educational Institutes and the candidate must produce the Certificate of VIII pass from the School authority they had attended with due Seal and Signature of the authority
Pay Scale: Pay Band-1, Rs.12,000 – Rs.52,000 Plus Grade Pay of Rs.3,900 and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Age Limit: Candidates should not be below 18 years of age and above 40 years as on 01.01.2021.
Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation will be as follows-
- OBC/MOBC: 43 Years
- ST/SC: 45 Years
- PwD: 50 Years
Employment Exchange Registration Certificate: The candidate has to produce the registration certificate of employment certificate in the state of Assam along with the application form.
Citizenship: An Indian citizen and permanent resident of Assam is eligible for this recruitment.

Sericulture Documents Upload Guide
To complete the online application process, the candidates have to upload their documents. In this section, we provided important details about the process of uploading documents of sericulture recruitment.
Photograph: Candidates need to upload his/her recent colour photograph with white background. The photograph must be on a standard 4.5 x 3.5 cm print. The photograph must be in JPEG/JPG format and size not exceeding more than 100 KB.
Signature: Candidate’s signature should be put with black or dark blue on a white paper. The Dimension of signature should be 3.5 cm (width) x 2.5 cm (height). Only JPEG/JPG format will be accepted. The maximum file size should not exceed 100 KB.
Selection Process of Sericulture Assam Recruitment
In this recruitment, a written test will be conducted for all the candidates. The test will carry 100 marks and all questions will be asked as MCQs. The merit list for this recruitment will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination. The examination will cover these topics – Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, History, Geography, English, General Knowledge.
Note: There will be ½ (half) negative mark for each wrong answer. The total duration of exam will be 2 hours (120 minutes). Candidates belonging to PwD shall be given 15 minutes extra time for the written test.
