In Assam, the Higher Secondary Final Examination holds significant importance for both students and parents, marking the second major examination after HSLC Examination in a student’s academic journey. This examination is conducted by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), which is the state’s secondary education board formed in 2024 through the merger of AHSEC and SEBA. ASSEB conducts the HS final exams for all students in its affiliated colleges and schools.
