Assam TET Result Date 2026
No result date has been announced yet. The only official communication after the examination notification of 5 June 2026 is the one that fixed the exam on 28 June 2026, and the Committee has not issued any further notice about evaluation or declaration.
The previous Special TET cycle gives candidates a fair idea of the waiting period. That examination was held on 30 April 2023 and the result was published on 15 June 2023, about one and a half months later.
| Special TET | Exam Date | Result Date |
|---|---|---|
| 2023 (6th Schedule) | 30 April 2023 | 15 June 2023 |
| 2026 (This Exam) | 28 June 2026 | To be notified |
If the Committee keeps to a similar schedule, the Special Assam TET 2026 result can be expected around the middle of August 2026. The number of candidates this time is far smaller than in a general TET, since the examination is limited to four language mediums, so an earlier declaration is also possible. This is an expectation drawn from the earlier cycle and not an official date.
Qualifying Marks of Special Assam TET 2026
A candidate has to clear two separate cut-offs to be declared TET qualified: the overall cut-off and a minimum in the Language-1 section, which is Bodo, Garo, Manipuri or Hmar. Clearing the total alone is not enough.
| Category | Total (150) | Language-1 (30) |
|---|---|---|
| General | 90 (60%) | 18 (60%) |
| SC/ ST(P)/ ST(H)/ OBC/MOBC/ PWD | 83 (55%) | 15 (50%) |
Note: The same qualifying standard applies to Paper I and Paper II. A candidate who scores 95 in total but only 16 in Language-1 will not be treated as qualified under the General category.
How to Check Assam TET Result 2026?
The result will be checked through a login, exactly as the admit card was, and not through a roll number list. Keep the Application Number and Password ready before you begin.
Step 1: Open the Check Result link from the Important Links section below once the result is declared. It will take you to the result login page of ASSEB (SEBA).
Step 2: Enter the Application Number and the Password that you used while submitting the online application form.
Step 3: Submit the details to open your scorecard. Check your name, paper, subject-wise marks, total marks and the qualified or not qualified status.
Step 4: Download the scorecard and take a printout for your record. Candidates who appeared in both Paper I and Paper II must log in and check the result separately for each paper, since the results are processed paper-wise.
Assam TET Marksheet and Certificate
Qualified candidates are issued a Marksheet Certificate by the Empowered Committee, TET, Government of Assam, and it remains valid for a lifetime from the date of issue unless the Government notifies otherwise. Keep the downloaded scorecard until the certificate is distributed, because the certificate distribution is usually announced district-wise at a later stage.
Qualifying in the Special Assam TET 2026 does not by itself confer any right to appointment. It makes you eligible to take part in the teacher recruitment process for elementary level schools in Assam, which is a separate process announced as and when vacancies arise, and your documents will be verified at that stage. The eligibility conditions and the full exam pattern are explained on our Special Assam TET 2026 page.
