SSUHS DPharm and BPharm Admission 2026
On 10 March 2026, the Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) published an official notification regarding the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026. This year, the entrance exam for D.Pharm and B.Pharm admission is part of a combined CEE that also covers B.Sc. Nursing and Allied Healthcare courses. However, this article focuses only on the Pharmacy admission details. The exam is scheduled on 7 June 2026, and online applications can be submitted through the SSUHS website from 20 March 2026 to 12 May 2026.
Update (02 May 2026): SSUHS has issued a corrigendum revising the B.Pharm eligibility criteria. Students who completed 10+2 from non-formal and non-classroom-based schooling such as NIOS or State Open Schools are now eligible for B.Pharm admission. The earlier restriction has been removed.
SSUHS has extended the last date for online application from 30 April 2026 to 12 May 2026. Admit cards will now be issued from 25 May 2026. The exam date remains unchanged at 7 June 2026.

Exam Centres: Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, Barpeta, Tezpur, Diphu, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Kokrajhar, Nalbari, Dhubri, Shillong, Aizawl, Itanagar, Agartala, Imphal, Dimapur, and Gangtok.
Total Marks: 100 Marks (25 marks in each subject)
Total Questions: 100 MCQs (Objective Type)
Subjects: English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics
Question Standard: HS (10+2) Science
Qualifying Marks: The minimum qualifying score for the Pharmacy Entrance Examination will be notified at the time of result declaration.
Note: Pharmacy candidates must choose English, Physics, Chemistry, and one subject — either Biology or Mathematics. The subject choice cannot be changed once the online application is submitted.
Exam Pattern for Pharmacy Candidates
Questions No. 1 to 75 in the booklet and OMR sheet covering English, Physics, and Chemistry are mandatory for all Pharmacy candidates. Questions 76 to 100 will have two parts: one for Biology and another for Mathematics. Candidates must answer only one part based on the subject they selected at the time of application.
Tie-Breaking Rule
If two or more candidates score the same total marks, inter-se-merit will be decided based on marks in Biology or Mathematics (whichever was opted), then Chemistry, then Physics, then English — in that order. If marks still match, the corresponding HS subject marks will be considered at the time of counselling.
Eligibility Criteria for D.Pharm and B.Pharm
Nationality: Applicants must be Indian citizens.
Residency: A Permanent Resident Certificate is mandatory for admission to Government institutes in Assam.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Science or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and/or Mathematics from a recognized Board/Council/University without grace marks. Both Theory and Practical must be passed individually in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as applicable. As per the SSUHS corrigendum dated 02 May 2026, students who completed 10+2 through non-formal and non-classroom-based schooling such as the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) or State Open School systems are also eligible for admission to the B.Pharm course.

Medical Fitness: Candidate must be medically fit.
Other Details of DPharm and BPharm Exam
The D.Pharm and B.Pharm Entrance Examination for the session 2026 will be held on 7th June 2026 at centres across Assam and other North-Eastern state capitals. For centres outside Assam (Shillong, Aizawl, Itanagar, Agartala, Imphal, Dimapur, Gangtok), confirmation depends on the number of applicants and consent from the respective State authorities.
The online application form is available on the SSUHS website from 20th March to 12th May 2026. The form will not be accessible after 12th May 2026, so candidates should complete and submit their applications within this period.
Application Fee: A non-refundable examination fee must be paid online through the payment gateway on the SSUHS website. The fee is exempted for PwD (Divyang) candidates with 40% or above disability. The exact fee amounts for each category will be available on the University website.
Reservation of Seats
Seats in Government institutions will be reserved for SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC(NCL)/TGL/Ex-TGL/EWS/PwD(Divyang)/NEC categories as per Government norms. Candidates applying under a reserved category must produce the original certificate from the Competent Authority at the time of counselling. PwD candidates need a certificate from the State Level Medical Board or the District Level Medical Board.
How to Apply for the Pharmacy Entrance Exam?
Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official SSUHS website. Here are the steps to complete the application:

| Fill in your personal details, educational qualifications, and select your preferred subject (Biology or Mathematics) carefully. |
| Upload your photograph and signature as per the specified requirements. You can use the Image Resizer tool if needed. |
| Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway. |
| Submit the form and save your Application Number and Password — you will need these to download your Admit Card later. |
Note: Keep your Application Number and Password safe. Without these, you will not be able to download your Admit Card. Candidates waiting for their HS (Science) results can appear in the exam provisionally, but they must upload their HS marks on the portal once results are declared by the concerned Board/Council.
Since the form is submitted online, candidates are not required to send any documents to the University. All document verification will be done at the time of counselling by the concerned authority.
