State Bank of India has issued an official recruitment notification regarding the recruitment of Probationary Officers in various branches of SBI across the country. SBI Recruitment Details
Name of Post: Probationary Officer
No of Posts: 2,000 Posts
Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government as on 31st December 2023.
Final Year Students: Those who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31st December 2023.
Age Limit: The candidate’s age should be between 21 years to 30 years as on 1st April 2023. Candidates must have been born not later than 1st April 2002 and not earlier than 2nd April 1993 (both days inclusive).
Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation will be 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates, 5 years for ST candidates and 10 years for PwD candidates.
Application Fee: Candidates have to pay the application fee to complete their online application process, the fee may vary according to the reservation category of the candidates. The complete details regarding the fee are given below.

Selection Process of SBI Recruitment
The selection process of Probationary Officers will include a Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Psychometric Test.
Preliminary Examination
The preliminary exam consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 topics as follows.

Each test will have a separate timing as mentioned above. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of the mark assigned for each question will be deducted for each wrong answer. No minimum qualifying marks are prescribed for individual tests OR for aggregate scores.
Main Examination
The main exam will be conducted online and will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and a Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after the conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.

Psychometric Test
The Bank may conduct a Psychometric test for personality profiling, of those candidates who will be shortlisted for Phase III. Findings of the test may be placed before the Interview panel to have a thorough perspective on the candidates.
Final Selection
The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase II and Phase III separately. The marks obtained in the Main Examination (Phase II), both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in Phase III for preparing the final merit list. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase I) will not be added to preparing the final merit list for selection.
