How to Apply for the Ishan Uday?

Starting from the 2024-25 session, the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) has introduced a One-Time Registration (OTR) process for students. Consequently, the procedure for submitting online applications for the Ishan Uday Scholarship has been revised and divided into two main phases. In the first phase, students are required to complete the One-Time Registration (OTR). In the second phase, students will use the OTR ID to submit their applications for the scholarship.

One-Time Registration (OTR)

In the first phase, students are required to complete the One-Time Registration (OTR), which is currently available on the portal. After completing the One-Time Registration (OTR), students will receive an OTR ID. This unique OTR ID will enable them to submit applications for various scholarships. It’s important to note that each student will receive only one OTR ID, which is generated uniquely for them.

Requirement for OTR: Candidates will need to have an active mobile number.

Aadhaar Requirement: Aadhaar is mandatory for completing the One-Time Registration (OTR). If Aadhaar has not been assigned to the student, they can use their Enrolment ID (EID) for Aadhaar to complete the registration process. In the case of a minor student who has not been assigned an Aadhaar yet, the registration can be completed using the Aadhaar of their parent or legal guardian.

eKYC: Completing eKYC is a mandatory step to obtain NSP OTR. Students can utilize the NSP OTR app, available on the Google Play Store, to complete their face authentication for eKYC.
