The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the official notification for CRP SPL-XVI, the Common Recruitment Process for Specialist Officers in 11 participating public sector banks. The drive covers 745 vacancies of 2027-28 across six posts: IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, Law Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, and Marketing Officer, all at Scale I.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee settled in India before 1 January 1962, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from specified countries with the intention of settling in India permanently.

Note: For posts other than IT Officer, candidates must also have a certificate, diploma, or degree in computer operations, or must have studied Computer/Information Technology as a subject in school or college. No equivalent qualification will be accepted by IBPS or the participating banks.

Fees can be paid online only, through debit card, credit card, internet banking, IMPS, or UPI. Bank transaction charges for the payment are to be borne by the candidate.
Selection Process
Selection happens in three stages: an Online Preliminary Examination, an Online Main Examination, and an Interview. Candidates who clear the Preliminary Exam get shortlisted for the Main Exam, and those who clear the Main Exam move on to the Interview stage.
Only marks scored in the Main Examination count toward shortlisting for interview and the final merit list; Preliminary scores are not carried forward. The Main Exam and Interview are combined in an 80:20 ratio for the final score. The minimum qualifying mark in the interview is 40 percent for general candidates and 35 percent for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates. Shortlisted candidates are then provisionally allotted to one of the participating banks based on merit-cum-preference.
