Bodoland University B.Ed Admission 2026
Bodoland University has released an official admission notice for the B.Ed/M.Ed Programme for the academic session 2026-27 in its affiliated colleges. Online applications started on 18 June 2026 and will remain open until 10 July 2026. Students interested in the B.Ed programme must apply through the Samarth portal. The notification was issued by the Academic Registrar of Bodoland University on 16 June 2026.
Applications are submitted online only. No offline mode is available. Candidates must go through all the eligibility conditions and document requirements before filling out the form.
Note: The university has released the entrance exam schedule, syllabus, and exam city centers. The B.Ed/M.Ed entrance test will be held on 25 July 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The exam pattern and city list are given below.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Ed Admission
Candidates must meet the following conditions to be eligible for the B.Ed programme at Bodoland University affiliated colleges:
A graduate or equivalent degree from any recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate is required. If a candidate failed to secure 50% in the UG course, they must have secured 55% in their PG course to be eligible.
SC/ST candidates get a relaxation of up to 5% in the required marks. This relaxation does not apply to candidates applying under any other reserved quota.
Teachers deputed by the Government of Assam for the B.Ed programme must submit a study leave certificate or No Objection Certificate from their employer along with the application.
Selection Process
Admission to B.Ed is based on a Central Entrance Test conducted by Bodoland University. The test is of 100 marks (MCQ-type). The merit list is prepared on a 100-mark scale, with 60% weightage given to the written entrance test and 40% weightage to the undergraduate-level CGPA. Final selection is based purely on merit.
Submission of a forged document at any stage, even after admission, will lead to immediate cancellation of admission. The Admission Committee has the final say on all admission-related decisions.
BU B.Ed Entrance Exam Pattern and Syllabus
Bodoland University published the exam pattern and syllabus for the B.Ed/M.Ed entrance test in a notice dated 3 July 2026. The test has 100 MCQ-type questions and runs for 2 hours. The paper is split into four sections covering General English, General Knowledge, Reasoning and Numerical Ability, and Current Indian Education. The section-wise question distribution is given below.

Exam City Centers for B.Ed Entrance Exam
Candidates pick their exam city during the online center selection step. For the B.Ed and M.Ed programs, seven cities are available: Kokrajhar, Chapaguri, Mushalpur, Tamulpur, Udalguri, Morigaon, and Barpeta. Choose the city closest to you before submitting the selection.
Reservation Quota
80% of total seats are reserved for merit students from affiliated colleges of Bodoland University. The remaining 20% is open for merit students from other UGC-recognised universities. Note that this 80:20 seat reservation rule does not apply to B.Ed and M.Ed programmes; all seats are open to eligible candidates from any recognized university.

Note: EWS 10% reservation is calculated out of total unreserved seats. OBC/MOBC candidates must submit a non-creamy layer certificate of the current year. 20% of total seats are also reserved for CUET-qualified candidates; vacant CUET seats will be filled by BU entrance-qualified candidates.
