Assam GT/PGT TET Result 2025

The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Assam, successfully conducted the Assam TET Recruitment Test 2025 for the posts of Graduate Teacher (GT) and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT). This recruitment aims to fill 9,717 vacancies in various government and provincialized secondary schools across Assam. The exam was held on 19th January 2025 in two phases across nine districts of Assam. The DSE aims to complete the recruitment process by May 2025, and the results of the Assam GT/PGT TET Recruitment Test are expected to be announced soon.

According to the notification released on 30th January 2025, candidates who appeared for the Assam GT/PGT TET Recruitment Exams can submit their applications for the soft copy of the OMR sheet between 3rd February and 20th February 2025. Additionally, the soft copies of the question papers along with the answer key will be made available on the official website on 4th February 2025 at 11:30 AM.

The TET Recruitment Examination (TCR) for Graduate Teachers (GT) and Post-Graduate Teachers (PGT) was conducted on 19th January 2025 in two shifts across nine districts of Assam. The first shift, held from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, was for Graduate Teachers (Paper-I), while the second shift, conducted from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, was for Post Graduate Teachers (Paper-II).

In the first shift, 35,757 candidates appeared for the Graduate Teacher (GT) vacancies, out of the 39,224 applications initially submitted. Similarly, in the second shift, 27,824 candidates participated in the exam for the Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) vacancies, out of the 30,358 applications received.

GT/PGT TET Question Papers

As per the latest official notification, the soft copies of all six sets of question papers used in the Assam GT/PGT TET Recruitment Exam, conducted on 19th January 2025, are available on the official website on 4th February 2025 at 11:30 AM. The notification also confirms that the official answer keys for all sets of question papers will be released on the same day.

GT/PGT TET Merit List Details

The number of qualified candidates in the TET Recruitment Test will be maintained in a 1:1 ratio to the advertised vacancies. Separate Merit Lists will be prepared for each subject and stream. Marks obtained by candidates in the TET Recruitment Test for a specific subject or stream will be extracted from the main list and compiled into a separate Merit List for that stream. This process will be repeated for all other streams.

If any posts remain vacant after the initial Merit List publication, up to two additional Merit Lists may be released to ensure the vacancies are filled.

How to Check GT/PGT TET Result?

Candidates who appeared in the written examination conducted by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) for the recruitment of Graduate Teachers (GT) and Post-Graduate Teachers (PGT) can check their results on the official web portal after the declaration. It is expected that the results of the Assam GT/PGT TET Recruitment Test will be published in the form of a merit list.

The merit list, once finalized, will be uploaded to the official website of the Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Assam. Candidates will need to search for their name and roll number in the list. If shortlisted or selected, their details such as application number, roll number, name, gender, date of birth, and more will be included.
