Assam CEE Result 2026
The Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) conducted the Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 on 14 June 2026 from 11 AM to 2 PM across nine examination centres in the state. Candidates who appeared in the exam are now able to check their result, which is declared on 26 June 2026.
ASTU released the provisional answer key on the same day as the exam, after 6 PM. Candidates had until 16 June 2026 to submit objections online. The result is available in the form of a rank card, which candidates will need to download for the counselling process.

Criteria for Ranking in CEE 2026
The CEE 2026 rank is based on total marks secured across all three subjects. In case two candidates score the same total, the tie is broken by giving preference to higher marks in Mathematics first. If the tie still remains, Physics marks are considered next, followed by Chemistry, date of birth, and alphabetical order of name in that sequence.
Assam CEE Merit List 2026
After the result is declared, ASTU has released the Assam CEE 2026 merit list. Two separate merit lists are prepared: one for general candidates and another for reserved category candidates. The merit list includes the names and ranks of all qualifying candidates. Only candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be eligible for the counselling process conducted by DTE Assam.

When the result is declared, candidates can download their rank card by following these steps:

What After Assam CEE Result 2026?
Once the result is out and the merit list is published, the counselling process begins. Counselling for CEE 2026 is conducted by the State Council for Technical Education Assam, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Guwahati, not by ASTU. Candidates must register on the DTE counselling portal at dte.assam.gov.in for seat allotment.
The counselling process includes online registration, choice filling of colleges and courses, document verification, and seat allotment based on merit rank and preferences. Multiple rounds of seat allotment are held, and candidates can accept, upgrade, or withdraw their seats in each round.
