Assam Navodaya Admission 2023

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti issued an official notification regarding the selection test for the upcoming Navodaya Admission 2024-25 of Class 6th. Students who are intended to complete their studies under Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) will need to submit an online application for the selection test known as JNVST. Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti every year conducts a selection test to select deserving students for admission into Class 6th. In Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), the Government of India provides various facilities to poor and meritorious students to complete their dream.

Eligibility Criteria of Assam Navodaya Admission

District: Only the candidates from the district concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to apply for admission.

Age Limit: A candidate seeking admission must not have been born before 1st May 2012 and after 31st July 2014 (both dates are inclusive). This will apply to candidates of all categories.

Current Study: A candidate appearing for the selection test must be studying in Class-V for the whole of the academic session 2023-24 in a Government/Government aided or other recognized school or a ‘B’ certificate competency course of the National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district where he/she is seeking admission.

Previous Admission: A candidate who has not been promoted and admitted to Class-V before 31st July 2023 is not eligible to apply.

Attempt Limit: No candidate is eligible to appear in the selection test for the second time, under any circumstances.

What is Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test?

As we know that the seats available in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are limited, to resolve this issue Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti conducts a selection based examination and that exam is known as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). NVS approves student’s admission as per marks obtained in JNVST. JNVST is the main process of admission into the Navodaya Vidyalayas.

A form will load, fill in the all required details carefully.
After that, you have to upload your documents.

After that, you will get a preview of your application.
Now, click on submit your application button.
Also, you will receive an acknowledgement copy of your submission.
Keep that acknowledgement copy for future use.

Composition of JNV Selection Test

The selection test will be of two-hour duration from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and will have 3 sections with only objective type questions. There are 80 questions in all for 100 marks.

Admit Cards of Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test

The admit card will be made available by NVS in due course of time as per the date fixed which will be displayed on the application portal as well as on our website.
