SSC MTS Result 2026
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the result of the Computer-Based Examination (CBE) for the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025 on 3 August 2026. This declaration shortlists candidates for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) for the post of Havaldar only.
Against the notice issued on 26 June 2025, the Commission received 36,19,834 applications. The CBE was held from 4 February 2026 to 20 February 2026 at centres across the country, and 8,04,633 candidates appeared in it. Because the examination ran across multiple shifts, marks have been normalized as per the formula published in the Commission’s notice dated 2 June 2025.
Candidates who applied only for MTS posts should note that their result is not part of this declaration. The Commission has stated that the first round of tentative allocation for both MTS and Havaldar will be announced together at a later stage, once the PET/PST for Havaldar is completed. This is the same phased pattern the Commission followed last cycle, when the Havaldar shortlist came on 21 January 2025 and the final result in March 2025.

Basis of Shortlisting: Normalized marks of Session-II of the CBE
Shortlisting Ratio: 1:7 (vacancies to candidates), as per Para-18.7 of the Notice of Examination
Minimum Qualifying Marks: 30% for UR, 25% for OBC and EWS, 20% for all other categories, applicable to both Session-I and Session-II
Candidates who did not qualify Session-I were not eligible for evaluation of Session-II at all, so a candidate whose roll number is missing from the shortlist may have been filtered out at the Session-I stage itself. Candidates have also been considered only against the vacancies of those Post-cum-CCAs for which they marked a preference in their online application form.

Note: The UR figure of 3136 includes 300 EWS, 105 SC, 25 ST and 1574 OBC candidates who have provisionally qualified at the UR cut-off. Reserved-category candidates who clear the general cut-off are counted against UR, which is why the reserved lists shown above are separate from them.
SSC MTS Cut Off 2026 for Guwahati CCA
Cut-offs have been fixed separately for every Post-cum-CCA. For candidates from Assam who opted for Havaldar (CGST) under the Guwahati CCA (code 35), the Session-II normalized cut-off marks are as follows:

These are normalized Session-II marks, not raw marks, so they cannot be compared directly with the score you calculated from the answer key. Cut-off details for the remaining CCAs, including Kolkata Customs and the CBN and DGPM directorates, are given in Annexure-I of the result notice.
Tie Resolution Criteria
Where more than one candidate secured equal aggregate marks in Session-II, the tie has been resolved by applying these methods one after another until it is settled:

| 2. Total normalized marks in Session-I. |
| 3. Date of birth, with the older candidate given preference. |
| 4. Alphabetical order of names. |
This is why the Annexure-I cut-off table also carries General Awareness marks, Session-I marks and a date of birth against each category. If your Session-II score matches the cut-off exactly, compare those three values to understand where you stand.
Withheld, Malpractice and Debarred Cases
Results Withheld: 2 candidates, bearing Roll Numbers 125270001942 and 125270006713, on account of suspicious activities
Malpractice Cases: 727 candidates, identified through post-examination analysis under Para 20 of the Notice of Examination and the Commission’s notice dated 10 September 2025. Their results have not been processed and their roll numbers appear in List-II.
Debarred Candidates: 169 candidates debarred by the respective Regional Offices, listed in List-III
Candidates aggrieved by inclusion in the malpractice list are at liberty to represent their case before the concerned Regional Office of the Commission.

Individual marks are not available yet. The Commission has confirmed that final answer keys and the marks of qualified and non-qualified candidates will be uploaded only after the final result of the examination is declared. Until then, the candidate login on the official website of the Staff Selection Commission will not show a score card for this examination.
What Happens After This Result
The PET/PST for Havaldar will be conducted by CBIC, and the Commission has said the schedule will be published on its website in due course. Shortlisted candidates should begin physical preparation now rather than waiting for the call letter, since the gap between the schedule notice and the test itself has been short in past cycles.
Candidates who fail to qualify the PET/PST will not be considered for the post of Havaldar in the final result. Their candidature will, however, remain valid for MTS posts if they get shortlisted there on the basis of their CBE merit. For MTS, selection rests entirely on the CBE, with separate category-wise and State or UT-wise cut-offs in Session-II.
Representations received against the tentative answer keys have already been examined and the answer keys modified wherever necessary, and the final answer keys have been used for this evaluation. No further objection window remains for this examination.
