SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan.

Educational Qualification: The essential educational qualification for all posts is a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent. Candidates who have appeared in their Bachelor’s degree examination can also apply; however, they must possess the essential qualification on or before the cut-off date, i.e., 16 October 2025.

Other Criteria: For the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police (Male candidates only), candidates must possess a valid Driving Licence for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date fixed for the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT).

Age Limit: The age limit for the posts is 20–25 years as of 1 August 2025. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 2 August 2000 and not later than 1 August 2005.

Age Relaxation: Permissible relaxation in the upper age limit for different categories is as follows:

SSC CPO Application Fee

Fee: The application fee is ₹100 (Rupees One Hundred only).

Exemption: Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) are exempted from payment of the fee.

Payment Mode: The fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards.

SSC CPO Selection Process

The selection process for the Sub-Inspector posts will consist of multiple stages. Initially, candidates will appear for the Computer Based Examination (Paper-I). Those who qualify will be called for the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET). Candidates who clear the PST/PET will then appear for the Computer Based Examination (Paper-II). This will be followed by a Detailed Medical Examination (DME). The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in Paper-I and Paper-II, subject to qualifying all other stages.
