SSC Constable Admit Card 2026
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the exam schedule for the Constable (GD) in CAPFs and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026. As per the notice dated 11 April 2026, the Computer-Based Examination (CBE) will be held from 27 April 2026 to 30 May 2026 across multiple centres in the country. This exam is being conducted for approximately 25,487 constable vacancies in BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, SSF, and Assam Rifles.

Exam Week Windows
The CBE will be held across four weekly windows. Candidates have been asked to indicate their preferred week through the SSC portal. The four exam windows are as follows.

Candidates must rank all four windows in order of preference. Those who do not submit their week preference during the open window will not be scheduled for the exam, and their admit cards will not be generated.
Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
The CBE consists of an objective-type paper with 80 questions carrying a total of 160 marks. Each question carries 2 marks, and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The exam duration is 60 minutes. The paper is divided into four parts as shown below.

| 1. All questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. The CBE will be conducted in English, Hindi, and 13 Regional Languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. |
| 2. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates should keep this in mind while answering the questions. |
| 3. There shall be no provision for re-evaluation or re-checking of scores. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. |
| 4. Marks scored by candidates in the CBE will be normalized using the procedure published by the Commission. Normalized scores along with bonus marks for NCC Certificate holders will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks. |
| 5. The questions in the CBE will be of Matriculation level. |
| 6. Candidates are not permitted to use calculators and other electronic gadgets. They should not bring the same inside the Examination Hall/Lab. |
Syllabus of Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
The syllabus of the CBE is as follows. Applicants can prepare for the exam based on the topics listed below. For complete details, refer to the official notification.
A) General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.
B) General Knowledge and General Awareness: Questions in this component will test the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around them. Questions will also cover current events and matters of everyday observation in their scientific aspect. The test will include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries, covering sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, and scientific Research. These questions will not require special study of any discipline.
C) Elementary Mathematics: This section will include questions on Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.
D) English/Hindi: Candidates’ ability to understand basic English/Hindi and their basic comprehension will be tested.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
After the CBE, candidates who qualify will be shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). The PET requires candidates to complete a race within specific time limits. The details are given below.

SSC GD Admit Card Date
Candidates who submitted their applications for the SSC GD Constable Examination 2026 between 1st December and 31st December 2025 can download their admit cards from the SSC (HQ) website. Admit cards will be made available for download 3 to 7 days before the candidate’s scheduled exam date.
Before the admit cards are released, the Commission will open a self-slot selection window where candidates can choose their preferred exam city and date from the three cities they opted for while filling the application form. Candidates who do not exercise this option during the prescribed window will not be scheduled for the exam, and their admit cards will not be generated. So it is very important to keep checking the SSC website regularly.
Note: Candidates who have not authenticated through Aadhaar must report at the exam centre two hours before the scheduled start. They must carry the printed admit card, two passport-size photographs, and an original photo ID with date of birth.
How to Download Constable Admit Card?
The SSC will release the admit cards on its headquarters website at ssc.gov.in. Candidates will need their Registration Number and Password to log in and download the admit card. Before the admit card is released, candidates should first use the self-slot selection facility to choose their exam date and city.
