SSC Constable Admit Card 2025

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for candidates who have submitted their applications for the SSC GD Constable Examination 2024. This examination is the first stage of the selection process for approximately 39,481 constable vacancies in various armed forces across India. The CBT is scheduled to take place in February 2025.

On 1st January 2025, SSC issued an official notification regarding the revised exam schedule. According to this notification, the CBT will be held from 4th February to 25th February 2025. Admit cards for the examination will be available for download four days prior to the respective exam dates.

Computer Based Test (CBT)

Candidates submitting online applications for the SSC GD Constable Exam will be required to appear in the Computer-Based Exam (CBE). The CBE will comprise an objective-type paper with 80 questions, totalling 160 marks. The paper will be structured as follows.

1. All questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. The computer-based examination will be conducted in English and Hindi only.
2. There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.
3. There shall be no provision for re-evaluation/ re-checking of the scores. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
4. Marks scored by candidates in the Computer Based Examination will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission through Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07-02-2019 and such normalized scores along with the bonus marks for NCC Certificate holders will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.
5. The questions in the Computer Based Examination will be of Matriculation level.
6. Candidates are not permitted to use calculators and other electronic gadgets. They should not, therefore, bring the same inside the Examination Hall/ Lab.

Syllabus of Computer Based Test (CBT)

The syllabus of the Computer Based Test will be as follows. Applicants can prepare for the exam based on the following syllabus. Applicants can check page no 13 of the official notification for the same information.

A) General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.

B) General Knowledge and General Awareness: Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, scientific Research etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

C) Elementary Mathematics: This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and the relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.

D) English/ Hindi: Candidates’ ability to understand basic English/ Hindi and their basic comprehension would be tested.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

In the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), applicants are required to complete various physical activities within specific time limits. The details of the race to be completed by the candidates are provided in the following table.

SSC GD Admit Card Date

Applicants who submitted their applications for the SSC GD Constable Examination 2024 between 5th September and 14th October 2024 can download their admit cards for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) through the respective regional websites of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). It is important to note that admit cards will only be available for download four days prior to the applicant’s exam date.

To help candidates prepare, the commission will activate an exam city and date details portal one to two weeks before the exam. Through this portal, applicants can check their exam schedule, including the exam city and date. In summary, admit cards for the SSC GD Constable Examination are expected to be issued starting 1st February 2025, as the first exam is scheduled for 4th February 2025.

How to Download Constable Admit Card?

As discussed earlier, the SSC will release the admit cards, including exam city and date details, on the regional websites of the commission. Applicants can find the complete list of regional websites here and visit their respective region’s website to access admit card-related information.

To download the admit card for the SSC GD Constable Examination, applicants will need their Registration Number and Date of Birth. In case the registration number is lost, the portal provides an option to retrieve it using the applicant’s full name and date of birth.
