SSC CGL Admit Card 2026
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to conduct the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2026. According to the official notification, the SSC CGL Exam 2026 Tier-I is scheduled to be held from 30 September to 30 October 2026 for approximately 12,256 Group B and Group C graduate-level vacancies across various government departments and offices in India. Candidates who have submitted their applications through the official web portal can download their admit cards from the same portal 2 to 3 days before their exam date.

Scheme of SSC CGL Tier-I Examination
The Tier-I examination has four subjects with 25 questions and 50 marks in each. Candidates get 15 minutes for each subject, making the total examination time 1 hour. Candidates eligible for a scribe get 20 minutes for each subject and a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Question Type: Objective-type multiple-choice questions. Questions will be in English and Hindi, except for English Comprehension.
Negative Marking: 0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Tier-II Examination: SSC will shortlist candidates for Tier-II on the basis of their Tier-I marks. A separate Admission Certificate will be issued for the next stage.
Own Scribe Registration for SSC CGLE 2026
Candidates who opted to use their own scribe must map the scribe’s One-Time Registration (OTR) number on the SSC website by 24 September 2026, 11:00 PM. SSC will generate a Scribe Entry Pass only for candidates who complete this mapping. SSC has stated that scribe registrations completed before 5 November 2025 were disposed of. Such scribes may need fresh registration, which now requires Aadhaar authentication.
How to Download SSC CGL Admit Card?
Candidates who submitted the application for SSC CGL Exam 2026 can log in to check their examination city and date. The Admission Certificate will be available through the same SSC portal when its download window opens for their exam date. Keep your login credentials ready and follow the steps below.

Documents to Carry to the Exam Centre
Candidates must carry a printed Admission Certificate, at least two recent passport-size colour photographs and an original valid photo ID showing the date of birth printed on the Admission Certificate. The notification lists Aadhaar Card or E-Aadhaar printout, Voter ID, Driving Licence, PAN Card and Passport among the accepted photo IDs.
If the photo ID does not show the date of birth, carry an additional original document as proof, such as a Matriculation Certificate or Birth Certificate. Candidates using a scribe must also carry the applicable medical certificate, undertaking and photocopy of the scribe’s photo ID. Carry any other document mentioned on the Admission Certificate.
Reporting Time: Candidates who could not undergo Aadhaar-based authentication must report to the examination centre 2 hours before the scheduled start of the examination. Other candidates should follow the reporting time on their Admission Certificate.
