All the selected candidates are requested to attend Saru Sojai Stadium, Guwahati on 5th February, 2021 at 7:30 AM positively for orientation and other formalities relating to engagement. The candidates are requested to bring original TET Certificate cum Marksheet along with a Photo Identity Proof on that day.

Online applications are invited from TET qualified candidates of Assam for these contractual post‘s recruitment.

SSA Assam Recruitment 2020 Details

1. Assistant Teacher (LP)

No of Posts: 2,966 Posts

Educational Qualification (Any One):-

• At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes.
• At least 45% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002.
• At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
• At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education).
• Graduation from UGC recognized University with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes.
• Graduation or Post Graduation with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with LP- TET and Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University.

2. Assistant Teacher (UP – Social Science)

No of Posts: 548 Posts

Educational Qualification (Any One):-

• Graduation from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes.
• Graduation or Post Graduation with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University.
• Graduation with at least 45% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and 1-year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
• Graduation with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and 1-year Bachelor in Education (Special Education) from recognized institutes/University

3. Assistant Teacher (UP – Maths & Science)

No of Posts: 239 Posts

Educational Qualification (Any One):-

• BSc. from UGC recognized University with Assam UP-TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes.
• BSc or MSc with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University.
• BSc with at least 45% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and 1-year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
• BSc with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and 1-year Bachelor in Education (Special Education) from recognized institutes/University.

Other Criteria of SSA Assam Recruitment 2020

Nationality: An Indian Citizen and Permanent Resident of Assam is eligible for this recruitment.

Age Limit: Candidates age must need to be between 18 years to 40 years as on 1st January of 2020 (i.e. the candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2002 and after 01.01.1980).

Age Relaxation: Category wise age relaxation will be as below followed.

• 5 years in respect of candidates belonging to SC, ST(P) and ST(H).
• 3 years in respect of candidates belonging to OBC/ MOBC.
• 10 years in respect of candidates belonging to PwD.
