Eligibility Criteria of SLRC Recruitment
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university in any subject with at least one paper in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Social Science, Sociology or Psychology at graduate level. Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject qualify if they obtained 50% marks in Mathematics at the 12th standard.
Language Requirement: Candidates must have studied English and any one of Assamese, Bengali or Bodo as subjects during HSLC.
Computer Qualification: Candidates must have computer knowledge, be comfortable entering data through a handheld device, and hold a Computer Course Certificate of at least 6 months from a government-recognised institute. The certificate must be uploaded with the application.
Employment Exchange: A valid Employment Exchange registration certificate in Assam is required.
Citizenship: Applicants must be Indian citizens as specified in the advertisement.
Age Limit: Candidates must be 21 to 40 years old as on 1 January 2026. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC/MOBC, 10 years for PwBD and 2 years for Ex-servicemen candidates.
Age Proof: Age will be determined from the HSLC/Class X pass certificate or admit card issued by a recognised Board or Council, provided the age or date of birth is clearly shown. The Commission will not accept another document for this purpose.

PwBD candidates need a certificate showing at least 40% benchmark disability. Other Conditions: Candidates in regular government service must produce a No Objection Certificate when asked. Applicants must submit the Small Family Norms declaration in Form-A when asked. Those seeking consideration under the Assam Public Services (Preferential Appointment) Rules, 1999 must indicate their choice in the application portal.
