RRB NTPC Recruitment 2026
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released two indicative notices for the recruitment of 5,165 tentative vacancies under the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) for graduate and undergraduate candidates. The vacancies were announced through two separate notifications: CEN 06/2026 and CEN 07/2026. According to the indicative notices, the online application process is expected to begin on 8 October 2026 for the graduate category and 15 October 2026 for the undergraduate category.
At present, the indicative notices contain only limited information about the recruitment. Details such as the age limit, post-wise educational qualifications, application fee, selection process, and other eligibility conditions have not yet been provided. These details are expected to be included in the respective detailed Centralised Employment Notices (CENs).

Age Limit and Educational Qualification
The detailed notifications will specify the age limit and post-wise qualifications for RRB NTPC Recruitment 2026. Both indicative notices state that age will be calculated as on 1 January 2027.
Graduate Level: In the 2025 recruitment, candidates needed a graduate degree, and the age limit was 18 to 33 years.
Undergraduate Level: In the 2025 recruitment, candidates needed to have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination, and the age limit was 18 to 30 years.
Age Relaxation: The notifications allowed 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Other eligible categories had separate provisions.

Application Fee
The indicative notices do not mention the application fee for 2026. In the 2025 recruitment, the fee was ₹500 for most candidates and ₹250 for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, female, transgender, minority, and Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates. EBC is different from OBC and EWS.
Candidates who appeared in the 1st Stage CBT in 2025 were eligible for a refund of ₹400 from the ₹500 fee or the full ₹250 concession fee, after deduction of applicable bank charges. The detailed 2026 notifications will confirm the fee and refund rules for this recruitment.

Aadhaar verification: Candidates are advised to verify their primary details through Aadhaar before submitting the application.
