Punjab & Sind Bank has released an official notification for the lateral recruitment of 1000 Local Bank Officers (LBO) in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). Candidates who are currently working as officers in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank can apply for this recruitment. Pay Scale: ₹48,480 – ₹85,920 (JMGS-I). LBOs will join at initial basic pay + 3 increments.
Educational Qualification: A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized university. The candidate must have a valid marksheet or degree certificate at the time of registration.
Experience: Minimum 18 months of branch experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank (listed in the Second Schedule of RBI). The experience must be post-qualification (i.e., after completing graduation).
Age Limit (as on 01 March 2026): Minimum 20 years, Maximum 30 years. The candidate must have been born between 02 March 1996 and 01 March 2006 (both dates inclusive). You can use our Age Calculator tool to check your age eligibility.
Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years, Ex-Servicemen – 5 years, 1984 Riot Affected – 5 years.
Probation Period: 6 months
Bond Period: 3 years (Bond amount equivalent to 3 months’ gross salary)
CIBIL Score: Candidates must have a minimum CIBIL score of 650 or above at the time of joining.
Local Language Requirement: Proficiency (reading, writing and understanding) in the local language of the state applied for is mandatory. Candidates who have studied the local language as a subject in 10th or 12th standard are exempt from the language test.
Note: Present employees of Punjab & Sind Bank are not eligible for this recruitment. Also, candidates can apply for the vacancy of one state only — no changes in category or state will be allowed after submission.

Selection Process
The selection will be done through a Written Test (online), followed by Screening, Personal Interview, and a Local Language Proficiency Test. The written test carries 70% weightage, and the interview carries 30% weightage in the final merit list.
