Assam Polytechnic Admission
On 15th May 2025, the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam has released an official notification about admissions to 3-year Diploma in Engineering and Technology Courses at State Government Polytechnics across Assam for the 2025-26 academic session. Candidates who are permanent residents of Assam can now submit their applications online through the official website before the last date. Please note that this excludes those applying under the Central Government Employees quota. Interested applicants should ensure they complete their online application process within the specified timeframe to be considered for admission.

Course: Diploma in Engineering and Technology Courses
Academic Session: 2024-25
Duration: 3 Years
Organization: Directorate of Technical Education, Assam
Educational Qualification: Applicants must have successfully completed the HSLC examination or an equivalent qualification in a single sitting, with Mathematics and Science as mandatory subjects. It’s important to note that candidates need to have passed both the Theory and Practical components of Mathematics and Science individually. Additionally, applicants must score specific minimum marks in these two subjects based on their respective reservation categories as followed.
- General & OBC/MOBC: 40%
- Schedule Caste: 35%
- Schedule Tribe: 33%
- PwD: As per candidates own caste/category
Age Limit: Applicants must have completed at least 16 years of age by 31st December 2025 to be eligible for admission. There is no maximum age restriction, meaning candidates of any age above the minimum requirement can apply for the admission.
Application Fee: Candidates applying for the Assam Polytechnic Admission are required to pay an application fee of ₹300/- plus bank charges as applicable.
