Assam NMMS Exam 2024
The Directorate of Secondary Education, Assam has issued an official notification regarding the National Means Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Examination, 2024. As per the official notification, online applications are invited from the students studying in class VIII for the NMMS Examination, 2024 to be held on 23rd November 2024 in the state of Assam sponsored by the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India. The online applications can be submitted through the official web portal https://bidyarthi.co.in and the Bidyarthi Mobile App.

Eligibility Criteria of the NMMS Exam
Class: Students who are studying in class VIII are eligible for the NMMS exam.
School: Only the students of Government and Provincialised schools under the Department of School Education, Government of Assam are eligible to get the scholarship. Students from Private schools, JNVs and KVs may appear in the examination, but they will not be selected for the scholarship.
Scholarship Details of the NMMS
Students found qualified for the NMMS exam will get a scholarship of Rs.12,000/- per year for classes IX, X, XI, and XII. Note that the parents’ income of the student should not exceed 3.5 lakhs per annum as per the norms of the Ministry of Education to avail the scholarship benefits.
Examination Fee of NMMS Exam
Candidates have to pay the examination fee to complete their online application process, the fee may vary according to the reservation category of the candidates. The complete details regarding the fee are given below.

Payment Method: Candidates are able to pay their examination fees through the online payment gateway. Candidates should have any of the following options to make the payment – Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or UPI.
How to Apply for NMMS Exam?
Students who fulfil all required eligibility criteria and want to participate in the NMMS exam have to submit their application through the official web portal or mobile app of DSE, Assam. To complete the online application process, students may follow the following steps.

| In that portal, you will see instructions for the application process. |
| Read all the instructions properly and click the Next button. |
| Now, you will be redirected to the application form page. |
| On that page, you have to provide all your asked details. |
| After that, you have to upload your photograph, signature and declaration form. |
| Now, you have to pay the application fee. |
| After successful payment, your application will be submitted. |
| Also, you will receive an acknowledgement copy of your submission. |
| Keep that acknowledgement copy for future use. |
