MLA Scholarship Scheme
The MLA Scholarship Scheme of Assam is a type of scheme where the Local Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) give financial assistance to the students who have performed well in the recent board examinations. The main objective behind this scheme is to provide an opportunity for those students to complete their studies whose economic condition is a hindrance in the matter of their higher education.

Scholarship Amount: Rs.5,000 to Rs.20,000
In this MLA Area Development Fund, an MLA of a constituency receives an amount of ₹50,00,000 (Fifty Lakh Rupees) to help the needy poor people of his constituency. This year also the Assam Government has provided the above fund to the MLAs of all 126 constituencies of Assam and under this fund, an educational assistance scheme is available for those students who are pursuing post-matriculation courses or above and their Financial condition is not good.
How to Apply MLA Scholarship Scheme?
Students who are 10th passed or studying after matric can apply for this MLA scholarship scheme of the Assam Government. We strongly recommend you contact your local MLA of your constituency to know more about this scheme. There are many conditions of this scheme so we strongly suggest you contact your MLA’s office.
Required Documents
Applicants must download the provided application form by checking the Important Link section of this page. After downloading, applicants have to print that form and fill in their correct details. After filling out that application form applicant have to attach the below-listed documents with the application form.

- Active & Valid Indian Mobile Number.
- A Bank Account must be in a Nationalised Bank or Regional Rural Banks or Assam Apex Bank.
- A valid ID Proof.
