Mission Basundhara

The Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Assam has developed a new portal named Mission Basundhara to resolve and update the state’s land records. Under the leadership of Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management is facing massive reforms and Mission Basundhara is one of those reforms. To streamline and solve land revenue services and make them more accessible to citizens, Mission Basundhara was conceptualized under the leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Assam. Through this mission, the Government of Assam has endeavoured to provide better service to the citizens and make the process hassle free.

Services of Mission Basundhara

The Government of Assam has started the Mission Basundhara initiative from 2021 onwards. At that time, Mission Basundhara was a huge hit and more than 8 lakh applications were submitted. After that, the Government of Assam launched Mission Basundhara 2.0 on 14th November 2022 with many new services. Following is the list of all available services including old ones under the Mission Basundhara.

1. Settlement of Khas and ceiling Surplus land. (NEW)
2. Settlement of Occupancy Tenant. (NEW)
3. Settlement of special cultivators. (NEW)
4. Settlement of hereditary land of Tribal Communities. (NEW)
5. Settlement of AP transferred land from original AP holder. (NEW)
6. Regularization of settlement of PGR VGR LAND. (NEW)
7. Online payment of Land Revenue. (NEW)
8. Field Mutation of Land by right of inheritance (Rural only).
9. Field Mutation of Land after deed registration (Rural only).
10. Field Partition of Land (Rural only).
11. Reclassification of agricultural land to non-agricultural land less than 1 bigha.
12. Allotment Certificate to Periodic Patta.
13. Conversion of Land from Anual Patta to Periodic Patta.
14. Striking out of name from patta.
15. Mobile Number Updation.
16. Name Correction.
17. Area Correction.
18. Office Mutation of Land (Both Urban and Rural).
19. Office Partition of Land (Both Urban and Rural).

How to Apply for Mission Basundhara 2.0?

The desired person of Assam will need to visit the official web portal of Mission Basundhara to submit their online application for the above services. To proceed with the application process of this mission, the applicant has to login with his/her mobile number. For the ease of our users, we have provided a brief step by step guide to the online application process below.

You will get a list of services with an application link.
Click on the link for the service you want.
Now, the official web portal of Mission Basundhara will load in the new tab of your browser.
Now, click on the Apply button of the service.
Another new tab will load. Enter your active mobile number and click on Send OTP button.
Now, enter the OTP on the provided field and click on Submit OTP button.
After successful login, you will get four steps to complete.
Complete all the steps one by one by providing all the asked details.
After completing all the steps your application will be submitted.
Also, you will receive an acknowledgement copy of your submission.
Keep that acknowledgement copy for future use.

  1. It is a very citizen centric approach of the govt. But at grass root level some people are manipulating so that it fails. Fo example while applying for online generation of holding no , it is seen that old ward no is wrongly given so that citizen can not avail the service, It is not 1 to 60. But 1, 2, 3, 17, 17, 17 like that. Pl look into it
