Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) has invited applications for 49 posts of Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) under its Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department. The Central Selection Board, KAAC will accept applications in the Standard Form up to 5 PM on 7 September 2026.
This recruitment is limited to candidates who were selected by the Central Selection Board for the prescribed One Year VFA Training Course and have completed that course at the recognised school in Ghungoor, Silchar. Candidates who only possess the general academic qualification are not eligible under this advertisement.

Pay Scale: PB-2, ₹14,000 to ₹70,000 with Grade Pay of ₹6,200 and other admissible allowances
Age Limit: The notification does not specify a numerical age limit. Age will be governed by the Assam Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Subordinate Service Rules, 2002 and applicable government orders. VFA Training: The candidate must have completed the prescribed One Year Training Course in Elementary Knowledge of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science from the recognised School of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Ghungoor, Silchar.
Prior Selection: The candidate must have been selected by the Central Selection Board, KAAC for the One Year VFA Training Course under the advertisements dated 20 December 2024 and 14 May 2025 specified in the recruitment notice.
Eligibility Summary: This recruitment is not open to every HSSLC Science candidate. You can apply only if you meet the prior selection and completed VFA training conditions stated above.
Selection Process of KAAC Recruitment
No fresh written examination will be held. The Central Selection Board will prepare merit by assessing the candidate out of 100 marks as follows:

For the academic components, 20% of the candidate’s HSSLC (Science) percentage and 40% of the VFA Training Course percentage will be counted. Candidates will be placed in order of merit subject to reservation and available vacancies. If total marks are tied, the candidate with higher VFA Training Course marks will rank higher. If the tie continues, higher viva-voce marks will decide the order.
