Indian Army Recruitment 2024

The Indian Army has issued several zone-wise official notifications regarding the Common Entrance Exam, 2024 for the recruitment of Agniveer. Candidates who fulfil the required eligibility criteria and are willing to serve in the Indian Army can submit their applications on the official web portal of the Indian Army. The online application process for this recruitment will start on 13th February 2024.

Required Educational Qualification

The required educational qualification details as per the post category of Indian Army Recruitment have been discussed in this section.

Agniveer (General Duty): Candidates who have passed the class 10th examination with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject are eligible. Additionally, candidates with valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving Licenses will be given preference for Driver requirements. The same should be produced at the Rally Site.

Agniveer (Technical): Candidates who have passed the class 12th examination in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject are eligible.

Agniveer Clerk/ Store Keeper (Technical): Candidates who have passed the class 12th examination in any stream with 60% marks in aggregate and 50% in each subject are eligible. It is mandatory to have English and either Mathematics, Accounts, or Book Keeping as subjects in Class XII.

Agniveer Tradesmen 10th Pass: Candidates who have passed the class 10th examination with a minimum of 33% marks in each subject are eligible.

Agniveer Tradesmen 8th Pass: Candidates who have passed the class 8th examination with a minimum of 33% marks in each subject are eligible.

Age Limit of Indian Army Recruitment

The candidate should be between 17 years 6 months and 21 years old. Candidates should have been born between 1st October 2003 and 1st April 2007. For more details, you can refer to the official notification issued by the Indian Army.

Examination Fee

Candidates are required to pay the applicable examination fee of Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty) plus bank charges. Payment can be made through online payment gateways using UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, or NetBanking.

Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per policy in vogue.

Chest: The chest size of the candidates should normally be a minimum of 77 centimetres and should expand by a minimum of 5 centimetres.

Recruitment Process of Indian Army

The recruitment process will be conducted in two phases. Phase I will be the Online Common Entrance Exam at Computer Based Test Centers spread across India, and Phase 2 will be the Recruitment Rally by Army Recruiting Offices (AROs) at Rally Venues.

Phase I (Online CEE)

Name of Exam: Common Entrance Examination

Mode of Exam: Online (CBT)

Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Question

Negative Marking: 25% of marks will be deducted for the wrong answer for each attempt.

Normalization: Marks scored by the candidates in Online CEE will be Normalised to take into account variation in difficulty levels of the question paper across different sessions

Phase II (Recruitment Rally)

Proportionate to the vacancies available candidates would be shortlisted by applying a cut-off in written exam results. The Roll No of the candidates who are on merit will be published on the Join Indian Army website. These candidates will receive a second admit card for the balance of the recruitment process as per the Rally Schedule of AROs.
