Eligibility Criteria (as on 21-09-2025)
Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent. Proficiency in the local language as prescribed by the participating RRB is required. A working knowledge of computers is desirable.
Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with degrees in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy. Proficiency in the local language is required, and working knowledge of computers is desirable.
Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Two years of experience as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution is required.
Officer Scale-II (Specialist Officers): Specific qualifications and experience are required for specialist roles such as IT Officer, Chartered Accountant, Law Officer, Treasury Manager, Marketing Officer, and Agricultural Officer. Candidates should refer to the official notification for detailed requirements for each specialist post.
Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institution is required.
Language Proficiency: Candidates applying for the posts of Office Assistant in any particular RRB are required to possess proficiency in the local language of the State/ UT in which the RRB is situated to be eligible for interview.

Selection Process of IBPS RRB
Office Assistant (Multipurpose): The selection will be based on a two-tier examination process consisting of an Online Preliminary Examination and an Online Main Examination. The provisional allotment will be based on the marks obtained in the Main Examination.
Officer Scale-I: The selection process includes an Online Preliminary Examination, an Online Main Examination, and a Common Interview.
Officer Scale-II and Scale-III: The selection will be based on a Single Level Online Examination followed by a Common Interview.
There will be a penalty for wrong answers in the objective tests. For each incorrect answer, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
