The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2026 from 11 May to 31 May 2026, with a few rescheduled and backup shifts conducted on 6 and 7 June 2026. The NTA CUET UG result has been declared on 23 June 2026.

How CUET UG Scores Are Calculated
CUET UG follows a fixed marking scheme. Each correct answer gives +5 marks, each wrong answer takes away 1 mark, and an unattempted question gets 0. Your raw score for a subject is the number of correct answers multiplied by five, minus the number of wrong answers.
The exam runs across many shifts and days, and the papers vary in difficulty, so NTA does not compare raw scores directly. It applies the equipercentile normalisation method, which converts each shift’s raw marks into a common percentile-based score. The scorecard shows your normalised marks, percentile, and overall NTA score for every subject you appeared in. NTA does not offer re-evaluation or rechecking of CUET UG results.
What Happens After the Result
NTA’s job ends once the result is out. CUET does not publish a single merit list or a fixed cutoff. Each university sets its own cutoff, which changes by course, category, and year. After downloading the scorecard, candidates apply separately to the universities they want, such as Delhi University through the CSAS portal, JNU, BHU, Jamia Millia Islamia, and the many central and state universities that accept CUET scores. The scorecard is also pushed to DigiLocker, so you can share it digitally during admission.
