CM’s Jibon Anuprerana Scheme 2025
The Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship Department, Government of Assam, has introduced the “CM’s Jibon Anuprerana Scheme” to provide one-time financial assistance to eligible full-time research scholars. This initiative aims to promote academic excellence and innovation in the state by supporting students pursuing higher education.

Under this scheme, a financial aid of ₹25,000 will be provided to research scholars, and ₹40,000 will be provided to Divyang (differently-abled) research scholars. Interested and eligible candidates who have been admitted to a PhD program on or after 1st April 2021 at Central or State Universities in Assam can apply online through the designated portal.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scheme
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the scheme:
Residency: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Academic Status: The applicant must be a Full-time Research Scholar or a Full-time Divyang Research Scholar.
Institution: The scholar must be from a Government or Public institution (State or Central) situated in Assam.
Admission Year: The applicant must be admitted to a PhD program on or after 1st April 2021.
Selection Process
The selection of beneficiaries will be done through a multi-step process. First, candidates will submit their applications online via the Directorate of Investment and Development of Skill (DIDS) Portal. The respective institution’s designated verifier (Registrar, Principal, or Vice Chancellor) will then verify the applicant’s details within 7 working days. After successful institutional verification, the applications will be scrutinized by the Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training. A final beneficiary list will be prepared after complete scrutiny, and the financial assistance will be disbursed via Direct Benefit Transfer.
