Assam Navodaya Admission
Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has issued an official notification regarding the selection test for the upcoming Navodaya Admission 2025-26 for Class VI. Students who wish to complete their studies at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) will need to submit an online application for the selection test, known as JNVST. Every year, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti conducts this selection test to choose deserving students for admission into Class VI. At Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV), the Government of India provides various facilities to help poor and meritorious students achieve their dreams.

Eligibility Criteria of Assam Navodaya Admission
District: Only the candidates from the district concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to apply for admission.
Age Limit: A candidate seeking admission must not have been born before 1st May 2013 and after 31st July 2015 (both dates are inclusive). This will apply to candidates of all categories.
Current Study: A candidate appearing for the selection test must be studying in Class-V for the whole of the academic session 2024-25 in a Government/Government or other recognized school or a ‘B’ certificate competency course of the National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district where he/she is seeking admission.
Previous Admission: A candidate who has not been promoted and admitted to Class-V before 31st July 2024 is not eligible to apply.
Attempt Limit: No candidate is eligible to appear in the selection test for the second time, under any circumstances.
What is Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test?
As we know, the seats available in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are limited. To address this issue, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti conducts a selection-based examination known as the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). Admission to JNVs is approved by NVS based on the marks obtained in JNVST. JNVST is the primary process for admission into Navodaya Vidyalayas.

Composition of JNV Selection Test
The selection test will be of two-hour duration from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and will have 3 sections with only objective-type questions. There are 80 questions in all for 100 marks.

The admit card will be made available by NVS in due course of time as per the date fixed which will be displayed on the application portal as well as on our website.
