DSE Assam Recruitment 2025
The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Assam has published an official notification inviting applications from eligible Indian citizens who are permanent residents of Assam for the recruitment of 59 Special Educator vacancies. These positions are available in various Provincialised Secondary Schools across the state.

Pay Scale: Pay Band-2 (PB-2) of ₹14,000/- to ₹70,000/- with a Grade Pay of ₹8,700/- per month, plus other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Graduate or Post Graduate degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation (or its equivalent). Additionally, candidates must have a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Special Education, recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Degrees obtained from off-campus and distance education institutions shall not be considered valid, except for degrees/diplomas from KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University, and Distance Education under Dibrugarh University.
Other Criteria: Applicants must be permanent residents of Assam. They must also have a valid Employment Exchange Registration Number. Candidates currently employed in Government service must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their competent authority.
Age Limit: The candidate’s age must be between 18 years and 40 years as of 1 January 2025. The upper age limit is relaxable as per government norms:

Selection Process of DSE Recruitment
The selection of candidates for the post of Special Educator will be based on their performance in the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) Recruitment Test and marks for extracurricular activities. The total marks for selection will be 145.
1. Teachers Eligibility Test Recruitment Test (140 Marks): The written test will consist of one paper with the following subjects:

2. NCC / Sports / Fine Arts and Cultural Activities (5 Marks): Candidates can claim a maximum of 5 marks from one of the following categories:
- NCC: 5 marks for ‘C’ Certificate & 3 marks for ‘B’ Certificate.
- Sports: 5 marks for participation in recognized sports at the National Level representing Assam.
- Fine Arts & Culture: 5 marks for achievements in Fine Arts and Cultural Activities representing the State officially at the National Level.
Weightage for HS TET Pass Candidates: Candidates who have previously passed the High School TET but have not been appointed shall receive a weightage of 5% of the marks secured in that TET, up to a maximum of 5 marks.
