The State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) has released two official notifications related to the recruitment of 12,673 Class-III and Class-IV posts in accordance with the Assam Direct Recruitment for Class-III and Class-IV Analogous Posts Rules 2022. The online application process for Assam Direct Recruitment 2023 commenced on 10th November 2023. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their applications through the official SLRC website.

  • Grade-III: 7,650 Posts
  • Grade-IV: 5,023 Posts.

Pay Scale: The pay band and grade pay of the post as per Assam Services (Revision of Pay) Rules, 2017 and as amended.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates who have passed any one of the following educational qualifications can apply online for these posts.

Bachelor’s Degree.
Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Certificate/ Diploma of minimum 6 months duration from a recognized institute.
Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Certificate/ Diploma of minimum 6 months duration and Stenography Certificate from a recognized institute.
Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science with Computer Certificate/ Diploma of minimum 6 months duration from a recognized institute.

Grade-III (Category-II)

Name of Posts: Please refer to the vacancy list.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates who have passed HSSLC or class 12th or equivalent can apply online for these posts. (For some posts, candidates should be class 12th passed from the science stream.)

Grade-III (Category-III)

Educational Qualifications: Candidates who have passed HSLC or equivalent can apply online for these posts.

Other Eligibility Criteria of ADR

Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must have a valid employment exchange registration number of Assam to be eligible for this recruitment.

Citizenship: Candidates must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit: The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as of 1st January 2023.

How to Apply for Assam Direct Recruitment?

The candidates eligible as per the official notification of Assam Direct Recruitment are able to submit their online applications through the official application portal of SEBA or SLRC. Candidates can submit their applications for all the eligible posts in one go. There will be a common application portal for the recruitment of all the departments. Candidates can follow the following steps to complete their online application process.

Click on the Online Basic Registration link.
Now, an official web portal will load in the new tab of your browser.
On that portal, you will be required to enter your Full Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Email, Registration Number of Employment Exchange, and Mobile Number.
After entering all the details, you must verify your mobile number by entering a 6-digit OTP.
Upon successfully verifying your mobile number, you will be able to click on the Submit button to finalize the basic registration.
Following that, a page will load with all your basic registration details along with two links to submit applications for Grade III and Grade IV, respectively. Choose the desired link to proceed and complete the application process.
Now, click on the Application Form. Again, click on Next. Enter your Registration Number of Employment Exchange and Registered Mobile Number, then click Next.
After that, an online application form will load. Fill out the application form carefully, upload your photograph and signature in the prescribed file format, and click on the Preview to Verify button.
After verifying all details, click on the OK button, and then click on the Submit button to submit your application.
That’s it! Your application has been submitted successfully. You can use the application number and password to download your submitted application form.

Assam Direct Recruitment Correction

The State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) has issued two official notifications concerning application correction. Candidates who submitted online applications for the Assam Direct Recruitment from 10th November to 29th December 2023 and wish to correct mistakes can do so using the application edit option provided by the commission. According to the official notifications, the application correction window for Assam Direct Recruitment will be open from 5th January to 18th January 2024. Candidates should be aware that there will be no option to change the Candidate’s Registered Mobile Number, Photograph, and Signature. However, all other information, including preferential appointment under the Assam Public Service (Preferential Appointment) Rules, 1999, can be edited.

How to Edit ADR Application Form

Candidates who wish to make changes or edits to their Assam Direct Recruitment applications should follow the steps outlined below. This process is advised only for those who have identified errors in their online application submissions. By following this procedure, they can rectify these mistakes and make the necessary corrections to their Assam Direct Recruitment Application Form.

Click on the applicable Application Correction Link.
Next, an official web portal will load in a new tab of your browser.
On that portal, you will find the option to log in yourself.
To log in, provide your Application Number and Password in the input box and click the Login button.
Following that, click on Edit Profile Menu.
Next, you need to enter the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number.
Following the entry of the OTP, you can proceed to edit your application.
Finally, click on the Update button to save the changes you have made.
Once all the changes are made, you can print out the corrected application form and then lock your profile.

Candidates who do not wish to change any information are not required to take any action.

Selection Process of Assam Direct Recruitment

The commission will conduct separate examinations for various post categories. These exams will be scheduled on different dates to allow candidates with higher qualifications to appear for multiple examinations. Additional details about the selection process are provided in this section.

Bachelor’s Degree Level

The commission will conduct a separate examination based on the following eligibility qualifications for each post.

Bachelor’s Degree.
Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in Science.
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce.
Bachelor’s Degree with Economics/ Statistics/ Mathematics.

Stage 1 (Written Exam)

Candidates applying for graduate-level posts will be required to take a written test, which will have the following structure.

Type of Exam: Written Examination (OMR)

Duration of Exam: 2 Hours (120 Minutes)

Medium of Exam: Assamese, Bodo, English and Hindi

Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

No of Questions: 100 MCQs

Total Marks: 175 Marks

Centres of Exam: The examination centres shall be as decided by the commission depending upon the number of candidates.

Stage 2 (Skill Test)

Candidates who have submitted applications for graduate-level posts and are shortlisted based on their performance in the written test will have to undergo a skill test as the second stage of the selection process.

Type of Exam: Computer Test or Other Test or Interview

Total Marks: 25 Marks

Class 12th Level

The commission will conduct a separate examination based on the following eligibility qualifications for each post.

Higher Secondary or Equivalent Examination Passed.
Higher Secondary or Equivalent Examination Passed with Computer Skill.
Higher Secondary or Equivalent Examination Passed in Science

Stage 2 (Skill Test)

The candidates who have submitted the application for the class 8th and 10th level posts will have to appear in a type of skill test as the second stage of the selection process.

Total Marks: 05 Marks

Merit List

On the basis of the marks obtained in the written examination and the interview or the skill test, a list of shortlisted candidates shall be prepared in order of merit. The commission shall determine minimum qualifying marks for computer tests/ other tests/ practical tests. Candidates securing less than the qualifying marks in the computer test/ other test/ practical test shall not be eligible for selection.
