The Government of Assam, under the Commissioner of Panchayat & Rural Development, has released an official notification for recruitment to various contractual vacancies within the Assam Society for Social Audit (ASSA). 1. Social Development Specialist
Total Posts: 01
Qualification: Candidates must possess an MA in Sociology/Economics or a Master of Social Work.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification working experience in the field of Social Audit and the rights of the poor is required.
Age Limit: The maximum age for applicants is 45 years.
Monthly Remuneration: ₹50,000
2. State Audit Expert
Total Posts: 04
Qualification: Applicants must have an MA in Sociology/Economics or a Master of Social Work.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification working experience in Social Audit and rights of the poor is mandatory.
Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 40 years.
Monthly Remuneration: ₹40,000
3. District Resource Person
Total Posts: 05
Qualification: An MA in Sociology/Economics or a Master of Social Work is required.
Experience: Candidates need a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in the field of Social Audit.
Age Limit: The maximum age for this post is 38 years.

4. IT Specialist

Qualification: A B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology or a postgraduate degree in Computer Application from a recognized university is required.
Experience: Candidates should have knowledge of MIS, software, and database development.
Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 38 years.

5. Accountant Cum Office Assistant
Total Posts: 01
Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree in the Commerce stream is mandatory.
Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in handling accounts, budgeting, GST, TDS, and computer knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and Tally.
Age Limit: The maximum age is 38 years.
Monthly Remuneration: ₹20,000
6. Block Resource Person
Total Posts: 36
Qualification: Candidates must be a Graduate in any discipline.
Experience: A minimum of one year of work experience in any government department, organization, or reputed civil society organization in Assam is desirable.
Age Limit: The maximum age limit for this role is 38 years.
Monthly Remuneration: ₹12,000 + TA/DA
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be conducted in two distinct phases. Candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear for a written test, followed by a personal interview for those who are shortlisted.
Phase I: An objective-type written test will be held in Guwahati. The test will comprise three sections: Subject Knowledge (50 marks), General Knowledge (25 marks), and General English (25 marks).
Phase II: Based on the marks obtained in the written test, candidates will be shortlisted for a Personal Interview. For each vacancy, 3 candidates will be called for the interview, which will carry a total of 20 marks.
