Anganwadi Recruitment 2026
The Office of the Child Development Project Officer, Sonari Integrated Child Development Services Project, Moranhat, Charaideo has issued a notification for 91 Anganwadi Helper (Sahayika) vacancies at different Anganwadi Centres under 11 Gaon Panchayats. Only local women residing within the area of the respective Anganwadi Centre can apply for these posts. These are voluntary service positions, and the selected candidates will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹4,000.

Honorarium: ₹4,000 per month
Educational Qualification: The applicant must have passed HSLC or AHM from the Board of Secondary Education, Assam, or an equivalent examination from a board recognised by the Government of Assam. If no qualified applicant is available, a Class 9 pass candidate may be considered. In that case, the educational qualification certificate must be countersigned by the Inspector of Schools.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 45 years of age as on 1 August 2026.
Residence Requirement: The applicant must be a permanent resident of the area served by the Anganwadi Centre for which she applies. A residence certificate issued by the concerned Gaonburha or the President of the Gaon Panchayat must be submitted.
Reservation: 3 per cent of the posts are reserved for persons with disabilities as per Government Notification No. SWD.449/2007/29 dated 12 September 2007. The disability certificate must be issued by the concerned medical board.
Selection Process: Eligible applicants will be called for an interview. The date, time and venue of the interview will be informed through the Mukhya Sevika and the local Gaonburha of the area. No individual communication will be made.

Other Conditions
Interest in Service: The applicant should be willing to work sincerely for the welfare of mothers and children and to involve the community in ICDS services such as non-formal pre-school education, early childhood care and supplementary nutrition.
Health and Conduct: Applicants of unsound mind, in poor health, suffering from a serious illness, or involved in a criminal case will be rejected.
Students: Regular students of a school or college will not be considered.
Existing Workers: Applications from recently appointed Anganwadi Workers or Helpers, and from applicants who moved into the centre area from outside during the application period, will be rejected.
False Information: If a candidate is selected on the basis of false information or documents and this is proved later, she will be removed from the post.
