Anganwadi Recruitment 2026
The Office of the Child Development Project Officer, Jogijan Integrated Child Development Services Project, Hojai has issued a notification for 31 Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi Helper vacancies. The recruitment covers 15 Worker posts and 16 Helper posts at different Anganwadi Centres.
Only women who are permanent residents of the area served by the respective Anganwadi Centre can apply. These are voluntary service positions carrying the monthly honorarium fixed by the Government of Assam.

Educational Qualification
Anganwadi Worker: The applicant must have passed the Higher Secondary examination from a board recognised by the Government of Assam. If no Higher Secondary-qualified applicant is available, candidates who have passed HSLC or AHM may be considered. A qualification obtained from Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University will not be treated as equivalent to HSLC or AHM for this purpose.
Anganwadi Helper: The applicant must have passed HSLC or AHM from a board recognised by the Government of Assam. If no HSLC or AHM-qualified applicant is available, a Class 9 pass candidate may be considered. In that case, the qualification certificate issued by the head of the school must be countersigned by the Inspector of Schools.
Residence Requirement
The applicant must be a local woman residing within the area of the Anganwadi Centre for which she applies. The residence certificate must be signed by the concerned Gaon Pradhan, Ward Member or Gaon Panchayat President and verified by the Mukhya Sevika of the concerned circle.
For a married applicant, her husband’s address will normally be considered instead of her parents’ address. This condition does not apply to widows or women deserted by their husbands, provided the relevant supporting certificate is submitted.

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected according to the government guidelines and the policy followed by the department. Academic marks obtained in HSSLC or HSLC, as applicable to the post, and an oral interview will be considered during selection.
If more than 40 per cent of the population within an Anganwadi Centre area belongs to the SC, ST or Tea Tribe community, a candidate from that community will be selected for the concerned post. Partially physically disabled candidates will receive preference against 3 per cent of the posts according to the applicable government notification.
The list of eligible applicants and the interview date will be displayed on the notice board of the CDPO office. Individual call letters will not be issued.

Note: Candidates must produce the original documents before the selection committee at the time of the interview.
Other Conditions: Women who are studying regularly in a school or college will not be considered. An application may also be rejected if the applicant submits false information, suffers from a serious illness, or is involved in a legal case.
