Dibrugarh University PG Admission
Dibrugarh University is one of the prestigious collegiate public state universities of Assam. Dibrugarh University was established in 1965 and since its inception, it is one of the primary higher education institutions of the state. Every year, many students take admission in this prestigious university to complete their various degrees and courses. Taking forward the same objective, Dibrugarh University conducts a common entrance test every year to select meritorious students for admission in postgraduate courses i.e. MA, MCom or MSc. The students who get selected in that entrance test (DUPGET) get an opportunity to complete their PG course under Dibrugarh University and its affiliated and autonomous colleges.

Eligibility Criteria of DUPGET 2024
Students who are willing to join Dibrugarh University for their higher studies and willing to participate in DUPGET 2023 must fulfil the following eligibility criteria. The course-wise required eligibility criteria have been provided below.
Master of Arts (MA)
A student must fulfil any one of the following criteria to appear in the entrance test for the Master of Arts (MA) course.
| Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Honours in the concerned subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point. |
| Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subject applied for admission and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point. Candidates who passed the qualifying examination in CBCS must have studied minimum 24 Credits in the subject applied for admission. |
Master of Commerce (MCom)
A student must fulfil any one of the following criteria to appear in the entrance test for the Master of Commerce (MCom) course.
| Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Speciality/ Honours in the concerned subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point. |
| Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subject applied for admission and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point. Candidates who passed the qualifying examination in CBCS must have studied minimum 24 Credits in the subject applied for admission. |
Master of Science (MSc)
A student must fulfil any one of the following criteria to appear in the entrance test for the Master of Science (MSc) course.
| Bachelor’s Degree with Major/ Honours in the concerned subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point. |
| Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subject applied for admission and 45% marks in aggregate in case of the candidates of General Programme or equivalent grade point. Candidates who passed the qualifying examination in CBCS must have studied minimum 24 Credits in the subject applied for admission. |
Note: Candidates who appeared/ appearing in the 6th Semester BA, BSc and BCom Examinations, 2024 and waiting for their results are eligible to appear in the DUPGET 2024 and can get provisional admission if selected. Also, Candidates who appeared/ appearing in the Final Semester Examinations and waiting for results but have backlog in 2nd and/or 4th Semester Examinations are also eligible to appear in the DUPGET 2024 and can get provisional admission if selected.
Application Fee
Students have to pay Rs.950/- (Rupees Nine Hundred Fifty Only) as an application fee to complete the online application process for the Dibrugarh University Post Graduate Entrance Test, 2024.
Mode of Payment: Students need to pay the application fee through an online payment gateway using their ATM card, Internet Banking or UPI. Note that no other mode of payment is accepted.

How to Apply for DU PG Admission
Students meeting the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the official notification need to submit their application for the entrance test through the official portal of Dibrugarh University. This is the only way to attend the entrance test and there is no application method other than online application. Students can follow the steps listed below to complete their application process.

| Also, you will receive an acknowledgement copy of your submission. |
| Keep that acknowledgement copy for future use. |

Duration of Exam: 2 Hours

Type of Question: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions
No of Questions: 100 Questions
Medium of Question: The question paper shall be in English excluding the language subjects.
Negative Marking: 0.25 (point two five) mark for incorrect response to a question.
