The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) published an official notification for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE), 2025, on 9th June 2025. This highly anticipated examination will be conducted between 13th and 30th August 2025 to fill 14,582 graduate-level vacancies across various government departments and offices in India. The CGLE is a major and eagerly awaited competitive examination conducted by the SSC annually for eligible candidates. Total Posts: 14582 Posts (Tentative)
Educational Qualification: The candidate should have a graduate degree from a recognized Board/ University. Please refer to the official notification for further information.
Application Fee: Women, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates are exempted from paying the application fee. All other candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹100/-.

Exam Centres in Assam: Dibrugarh (5102), Guwahati (Dispur) (5105), Jorhat (5107), Silchar (5111) and Tezpur (5112).
Scheme of CGL Examination
The Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2025 will be conducted as a Computer Based Examination in two tiers. Please note that the examination schedule provided in the official Notice is tentative. Any revisions or changes to this schedule will be communicated exclusively through the Commission’s official website. Furthermore, there will be no provision for re-evaluation or re-checking of scores, and no correspondence regarding this will be entertained.
Tier-I (Computer Based Examination)
Candidates who apply for the SSC CGL examination will be required to appear for a Computer-Based Tier-1 exam conducted by the Commission. The structure of this Tier-1 examination is as follows:

Question Type: Tier-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Comprehension.
Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.
Duration: 60 minutes (80 minutes for the candidates eligible for scribe as per Para-7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 of the official notification).
Normalization: 2 Marks scored by candidates in Computer Based Examinations, if conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission vide Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07-02-2019 and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.
Tier-II (Computer Based Examination)
Candidates shortlisted based on their performance in Tier-I will be called for the Tier-II Examination. Applicants are advised to refer to the official notification for comprehensive details regarding the Tier-II exam structure and syllabus.
How to Apply for SSC CGL Recruitment?
Eligible candidates can apply for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2025 directly through the Staff Selection Commission’s official web portal before the closing date. For those new to the SSC portal, completing a One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory before you can proceed with submitting your application.
Once registered, applicants can log in using their registration ID and password to access the online application form. Here, you will need to accurately provide personal, educational, and other relevant details, and upload necessary documents according to specified requirements. After completing these steps, candidates will be directed to the application fee payment section. Payment of the applicable fee is required, unless the candidate belongs to an exempted category. Upon successful completion of the payment, the application will be submitted, and an acknowledgment receipt will be generated for future reference.
