About Gunotsav Assam
Gunotsav is an initiative by the government of Assam to improve the quality of elementary and secondary education in the state. In Gunotsav, a school assessment drive is conducted by the education department across the state in various phases. At the end of the assessment process, the department announces its assessment report as the Gunotsav Result. In the Gunotsav Result, schools are graded as A+, A, B, C, and D, where A+ represents the highest performance and D represents the lowest.
Schools that perform well and receive an A+ grade in this assessment process are awarded various incentives for their good work. Conversely, schools that perform poorly and receive a D grade get special attention from the department to improve their education quality. Gunotsav 2025 is the 6th round of this initiative, following its introduction in 2017 by Samagra Shiksha, Assam.

How is the Gunotsav in Assam Done?
The Department of Education, Assam runs an assessment drive with the help of various other government departments. The department assigns ministers, civil servants, and officers to different schools. The designated officials visit the assigned schools on the day of Gunotsav as external assessors or evaluators.
The external assessors conduct various assessments according to the rules, with the assistance of the school authorities. At the end of the evaluation, the external assessor prepares a result for that school and seals it in front of the school authorities. The department then collects all the sealed results from the designated external assessors and provides grades to the schools based on their performance.

How to Check Gunotsav Results?
As you all know, Gunotsav is conducted by Samagra Shiksha, Assam (SSA). The results of Gunotsav are processed by SSA and published on its official web portal. School authorities will need to visit the official SSA website to access the link for Gunotsav Results. To check the Gunotsav Results, schools must provide their UDISE Code and Password on the official portal.
