Employment Exchange Registration

The Employment Exchange Registration is a mandatory procedure a candidates who are preparing for government jobs under the Government of Assam. The candidates who are willing to participate in the various recruitment drives organized by the Government of Assam such as Assam Direct Recruitment, Assam Police Recruitment, APSC Recruitment, TET Recruitment, etc. will have to register themselves in the employment exchanges in Assam. After 2021, the procedure of registration is digitized and under that digital procedure candidates can register themselves without visiting any offices directly from the official web portal.

As per the latest notification, candidates who registered themselves in Employment Exchanges in Assam before 2nd January 2024 must re-register through the Sewa Setu Portal on or before 31st December 2024. Exchange Registration Overview

Name of Department: Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training, Assam

Eligibility: All citizens of India above the age of 14 years who are permanent residents of Assam are eligible to register themselves in the Employment Exchange of the State of Assam.

District: The candidates are eligible for Registration in one Employment Exchange only in the state, where they are permanent residents within the jurisdiction of the District.

Application Fee: If candidates submit applications through PFC/CSC then they have to pay Rs.30/-. If they submit the application themselves then they have to pay Rs 10/- during the online registration process.

Required Documents for Registration

Mobile Number: Candidates will need a valid and active mobile number to complete the registration process.

Educational Documents: Candidates have to produce a single PDF of all their pass certificates and mark sheets. Note that all copies of documents must be scanned and readable otherwise your application may be rejected.

Age Proof: Candidates must submit any one of the following documents as proof of their age.

Birth Certificate
HSLC Admit Card
School Certificate

Proof of Residency: Candidates must submit any one of the following documents as proof of their residence.

AADHAAR Card
Driving License (Self or Parents)
Copy of Chitha/Jamabandi (Self or Parents)
Copy of Passport (Self or Parents)
Certified Copy of Electoral Roll/EPIC (Self or Parents)

Caste Certificate: If the candidate belongs to the SC, ST or OBC/MOBC category then they have to upload their caste certificate.

EWS Certificate: If the candidate belongs to the economically weaker section then he/she must upload a valid EWS certificate.

PWD: In the case of a PWD (Person with Disability) candidate, disability certificate issued by the competent authority will be required.

Miscellaneous: Candidates may require some additional documents as per their category.
