DEE Merit List 2025
In December 2023, the Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam announced a recruitment drive for Assistant Teachers in Lower Primary (LP) Schools and Assistant Teachers, Science Teachers, and Hindi Teachers in Upper Primary (UP) Schools. A total of 5,550 vacancies were announced, with 3,800 vacancies in LP Schools and 1,750 vacancies in UP Schools. The online application process was completed between 2nd January and 2nd February 2024, and thousands of applicants are now eagerly awaiting the merit lists. The DEE, Assam will release district-wise merit lists where shortlisted candidates will be selected based on their academic performance.
On 9th January 2025, DEE, Assam announced another recruitment notification for 4,500 additional LP and UP teacher vacancies, without releasing the merit list for the previous recruitment. The application process for these newly announced 4,500 vacancies will take place from 8th March to 8th April 2025.
As per a recent statement by the Honorable Chief Minister of Assam, the merit lists for LP/UP teacher recruitments are expected to be published in the first week of May 2025 by the department. He advised all applicants to remain patient and wait for the official notification. However, the appointment distribution is targeted for 10th October 2025.

Document Verification
On 18th March 2025, the Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam released a notification regarding the first phase of physical document verification for candidates who applied for 5,550 vacancies of LP and UP School Teachers.
The first phase of document verification will be conducted for 4,100 applicants from 20th March to 29th March 2025. Similarly, the second phase of physical document verification is scheduled to take place from 1st April to 11th April 2025. Candidates are advised to check the official notification for further details regarding the verification process.

How to Download the DEE Merit List?
Applicants who have submitted online applications for the LP and UP teacher recruitment under the Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam will be able to download the district-wise merit list once it is officially published by the department. The DEE, Assam will release the merit lists based on post category for each district where applicants have submitted applications.
The merit lists will be available for download on the official DEE, Assam website after publication. For the convenience of users, direct links to download the merit lists will be provided in the Important Links section of this page.
Each merit list will include basic applicant details such as name, application number, rank, academic performance, gender, and category. The merit lists will be published in PDF format, and applicants can search for their names using a valid PDF reader.
