Educational Qualification
Head Constable (Radio Operator): Candidates must have passed Intermediate (12th standard) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognised Board with an aggregate of 60% marks in PCM subjects.

Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board and a two-year Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in Radio and Television/ Electronics Engineering/ Computer Operator & Programming Assistant/ Data Preparation & Computer Software/ General Electronics Engineering/ Data Entry Operator.
Head Constable (Radio Mechanic): Candidates must have passed Intermediate (12th standard) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognised Board with an aggregate of 60% marks in PCM subjects.

Age Limit
The age of the candidates must be between 18 to 25 years as on the closing date of the online application, which is 23 September 2025. The upper age limit is relaxable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government rules.

Selection Process of BSF Recruitment
The selection process for the BSF HC (RO & RM) Recruitment 2025 will be conducted in three phases as detailed below:
Phase I: Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates will first undergo PST to check height and chest measurements, followed by PET to assess their physical endurance.

Phase II: Computer Based Test (CBT): Candidates who qualify in Phase I will be eligible to appear for the CBT. The test will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying 2 marks. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

Phase III: Document Verification, Medical Examination & Other Tests: Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be called for Document Verification. For HC(RO) candidates, a Dictation Test (50 Marks) and Paragraph Reading Test (Qualifying) will also be conducted. Finally, all shortlisted candidates will undergo a Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
