Atmanirbhar Assam 2024
The Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan (CMAAA) is a state-sponsored initiative aimed at providing one-time financial assistance to unemployed youths who meet the eligibility criteria. Launched in 2023, the scheme quickly gained popularity, and following the successful implementation of its first phase, the government introduced its second phase, branded as CMAAA 2.0. Commonly known as the Atmanirbhar Scheme in Assam, this program has become a significant step towards empowering the youth and promoting self-reliance in the state.

The Government of Assam has resumed online registration for the remaining five districts: Bongaigaon, Cachar, Biswanath Chariali, Nagaon, and Chirang. Residents of these districts can now submit their applications through the official portal.

Atmanirbhar Scheme Overview
Name of Scheme: Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan 2.0
Type of Scheme: Financial Assistance

Application Fee: Candidates must pay an application fee during the registration process. The fee is ₹200/- for those belonging to the General Category and ₹100/- for candidates from SC/ST/OBC categories.

Eligibility Criteria
Residentship: Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam.
Age Limit: The candidate’s age should be between 28 years and 45 years as of 1st April 2024.
Educational Qualification: To be eligible for this scheme, applicants must have a minimum qualification of passing Class 10. Candidates from the OBC, SC, and ST communities must have completed at least up to Class 10 to meet the eligibility criteria for this scheme.
Skill Qualification: Candidates should possess the necessary skills and knowledge, such as those acquired through ITI or Diploma programs, to engage in income-generating activities.
Bank Account: The candidates should have a bank account, which has been opened before 1st April 2024.
Loan Defaults: The candidate should have not defaulted on any loan taken from Co-operative and Nationalized Bank in the past.
Government Service: Candidates should not come from families with government service holders or pensioners.
Family: Only one member per family is eligible to apply for this scheme. Additionally, applicants who were beneficiaries of CMAAA 1.0 are not eligible to participate in the CMAAA 2.0.
Employment Exchange: The applicant must have valid registration in the Employment Exchange.
How to Apply for Atmanirbhar Assam?
Candidates meeting the above eligibility criteria can apply for the Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan 2.0 by following a two-phase application process.
In the first phase, candidates must complete the online registration by providing their basic details, such as personal information and bank account details. Once the registration process is complete, the department will announce the application dates.
In the second phase, candidates need to log in to the same portal on the specified dates to submit their application. During this stage, applicants must also provide detailed project plans outlining how they intend to utilize the financial assistance they receive.
